Campaign Story

Hello and thank you in advance for your consideration. My fiancé and I are finally in a position where we are ready to have a child of our own. I (Casey) already have one 11 year old son- Finnley; but we are on a mission to complete our family.

There are many things we want; a house, a wedding, a family of our own. But in today’s day and age everything is just so tight with money, not to mention the market is not getting any better. So we have to prioritize accordingly. While we are still in the prime years of our lives (30 and 31), we wish to bring some little ones into the picture. It doesn’t matter where we are in the world; just as long as the three of us are together we are Home. That being said, only thing that’s missing is our little peanut.

I (Casey) was in a skiing accident back in January 2016 when Finn was only 3 years old. I was in a coma in the hospital for over a month with a broken C1 and C2 vertebrae (neck), pelvis and eye socket. I have since recovered but I have a traumatic brain injury with its lasting effects. My fiancé and I want babies so badly, but I have been recently diagnosed with PCOS which means that we will have to go to a fertility clinic. My fiancés sister went through exactly that and she now has been blessed with beautiful twin girls after suffering years of infertility treatments. My brain injury leaves me unable to work and have any form of employer based health insurance seeing as I am supported by the federal government through social security disability. Fertility clinics will only take employer based health insurance. Be it that I am on social security my only form of health insurance is Medicare. I have already looked into what Medicare will cover and what it will not. I stumbled across this website looking up grants in my state for fertility and am hopeful that I did so for a reason and we may find some relief by His Grace. Thank you in advance. Any little bit helps.
